Buffalo Grove Epoxy Flooring is an epoxy flooring business serving Buffalo Grove, IL, with more than 20 years of experience coating and finishing concrete. We work in attached garages and basements, in townhome and condominium buildings, and in the offices, labs, shops, warehouses and kitchens that fill the village’s business parks and retail corridors.

Our work is resin and concrete: garage floors that stand up to winter salt, basement floors planned around moisture, decorative flake and metallic systems, polished concrete, and heavy-duty floors for commercial and industrial spaces. What ties it together is the way we approach a slab before anything is applied to it.

Our Approach

A floor installer resting against the wall of a finished attached Buffalo Grove garage at the end of the job.

We treat the concrete as the foundation of the floor, because it is. Every slab is opened mechanically with a diamond grinder or a shot blaster instead of an acid etch, every scope includes a written moisture test before the price is final, and every crack, spall and old coating is mapped first. When a slab needs repair or replacement before it should be coated, we tell you, even if it means the coating waits.

Our proposals are written so they can be checked. They name the product line, the number of coats and the finished thickness, and they explain what the coating warranty leaves out, with moisture as the first exclusion we discuss. Home jobs over the state threshold get a written contract and the Illinois consumer-rights pamphlet before any grinding begins.

We schedule by the slab, not the calendar. Cure times follow slab temperature and the dew point at the surface, so an unheated garage in the coldest part of winter is told to wait. Townhome garages are planned around association rules and shared driveways, and offices, labs, shops and kitchens are phased around their hours, with nights and weekends used when a space cannot close.

We also keep the work clean and honest. Grinding dust is captured at the machine with a vacuum rather than rinsed toward a drain, a sump or a storm inlet. Products are picked inside the Illinois limits on volatile organic content, registration and permit questions are checked with the village on the Cook and Lake sides alike, and we never sell a floor coating as radon reduction or as a fix for seepage.

What We Do

We install epoxy garage floors, polyaspartic and flake coatings, metallic epoxy, basement floor systems and polished concrete, and we handle the concrete grinding and floor repair that every good floor depends on. For businesses, we build commercial and industrial epoxy floors, static-control ESD flooring and commercial kitchen floors. If you have a floor in mind, contact us to request a free estimate, and we will start by looking at the slab.
